 Teton County Democrats emphasize that the natural environment and public lands are the heart, and the people who live and work here are the backbone of our community.

Key Priorities

Housing:

• Support local housing agencies, non-profits, and private partners in efforts to create housing for those who work here.

• Reestablish local control over housing and mitigation policy.

• Promote smart land-use policies that balance supply and demand.

• Establish dedicated housing funding.

Energy and Climate:

• Support renewable energy development.

• Advance Jackson's Carbon Neutral 2030 goals.

• Encourage public transit use.

Environment:

• Support policies that safeguard air and water quality, wildlife, and open spaces.

• Strengthen water quality protection and restoration.

• Keep public lands in public hands.

• Reduce waste and improve recycling systems.

Healthcare:

• Support local healthcare access.

• Support sustainable funding for St John's healthcare.

• Support reproductive freedom.

Education:

• Support fully funded public education.

• Support year-round food access programs for students and families.

• Support the right of local libraries to establish their own policies.

Democracy and Rights:

• Defend voter access (ballot boxes and mail-in ballots).

• Defend the integrity of our three-branch system and elections.

• Advocate humane, comprehensive immigration reform.

• Defend the separation of church and state.
